Duties & Responsibilities:

• Facilitate requirements gathering sessions and translate business needs into viable technical solutions.
• Design, build, test, and deploy highly scalable and high-volume Java-based web services, adhering to RESTful architecture.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor team members on proper web service development practices.
• Collaborate with architecture teams to evaluate and implement solution designs.
• Support complex programs and initiatives from a software development standpoint.
• Work collaboratively and independently to meet project goals.
• Advise on strategies, contribute expert technical support, and enhance business performance through technical innovation.
• Ensure development projects are aligned with benefit realization and collaborate across functional partners to drive initiatives.
• Identify issues and escalate to management when necessary.

Key Technical Skills:

Java 8+, RESTful Web Services, Spring, Hibernate, React, Docker, AWS (EC2, ECS, S3, Route53, APIGW), Git, CI/CD, Gradle, Maven, Linux, Unix

Requirements:

• 3+ years of professional experience in Java development across the software development lifecycle
• Hands-on experience in developing RESTful web services using Java
• Proficient with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Git
• Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud services including EC2, ECS, APIGW, S3, Route53
• Familiarity with open-source frameworks and tools such as Spring, Hibernate, Docker, and React
• Experience with build tools such as Gradle or Maven
• Strong understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• A willingness to learn and adopt new technologies to enhance product capabilities
